Why are men oblivious?

No really... are they missing a certain part of their brain that makes them say the complete wrong thing?

Here's the convo:

me - oh man, i can't believe i just spent so much money at target, getting stuff for the house and i didn't even buy food for dinner yet!

DH - well, what time do you think you'll be done at the gym after work? i'm sure you'll have time to stop & get dinner and we won't be eating too late.



UMMM WRONG. The correct response would've been, 'don't worry about it, i'll pick up stuff for dinner.' Thanks for nothing, darlinggggg husband...

Reminds me of Dan a few weeks ago. He came home drunkenly at 4 AM and asked me if I wanted food. I said yes (I had people over and was drinking, too) I want this, this and this. He comes home with NO food but flowers. Thanks but I would've preferred something edible.
