First I want to say that my wedding day was INCREDIBLE!! I truly could not have asked for a single thing to have been better. I feel so lucky that I had the most perfect weather and the most perfect vendors. So..... w/ that said, you will see MANY “A” and “A+” scores on this review because I was a VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY happy and satisfied bride. My day was PERFECT and WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!! I wouldn’t change one thing or one vendor!!

Weather: A++++++++++++++++++++
Boy did I get lucky. The 10 days leading up to my wedding I checked accuweather.com and every other weather website so many times and it continually said rain and t-storms. I was so upset. However, in the last 3 days before my wedding, the sun picture on the sites started to appear more and more. Eventually, the morning of my wedding, as I watched the news I saw something I had never seen before. Under the picture of the shining sun forecasted for the day it said “Rain Free”. I have never heard of a “rain free” day in the hot month of July in NY. It sounded virtually unheard of. I know that my relatives in heaven were looking down and blessed me w/ such a gorgeous day.

What would I have done w/o this site? The girls on here were the most amazing and supportive people throughout my engagement and wedding planning. I love that this site was created and want to thank Ron and Liz for the wonderful job they have done for all LI brides!

The Milleridge Cottage: A++++++++++++++++++++++++ and beyond
There are truly NO words to describe how wonderful and incredible this place is. From the start, my BM Kristy was sweet, helpful, kind, and supportive. She was a true professional and knew exactly how to make my day great. She went above and beyond making menu changes, helping me design my cake, and so many other things to make me happy. She was excellent to work with. My matire'd Steve was too wonderful for words. There was never a moment that he wasn’t there to supply a drink or a wet towel to wipe my forehead after dancing. He treated my parents and DH’s parents, and all of our guests, like royalty. My attendants, Maria and Pam, were OUTSTANDING!!!!! The Milleridge is a hidden gem. I can not wait to go back there sometime for someone’s wedding to see it again. The decor is beautiful, the food was outrageous, the CT hr was amazing, and the Viennese was incredible!! The whole place was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!! This place is worth SO MUCH more than what we paid. They could easily charge another $75-$100 per person and it would STILL be a deal!! Matt and I are SOOOO happy we chose it. We got SOOO many compliments!!!

Flower Michele: A++++
I loved working w/ John. He is a great guy and did a fabulous job. My girls’ bouquets and my bouquet were STUNNING and just what I envisioned. I didn’t want flower CPs and had asked for silver candelabras instead and lots of candles on the mantle behind the dais. He made my reception room into a romantic setting and I am so happy with his work. I would HIGHLY recommend!!

Jay and his team were wonderful. They were on time, professional, and most importantly, easy and FUN to work with. Jay is such a nice guy and spends the time with you as if you are the first and last bride he will never take pictures of. He never pushed too hard or got in the way. He captured all the shots I requested and was very creative in his own ideas. From the e-pics to the wedding day, DH and I loved working w/ Jay. I am so excited to see my proofs and video and have no doubts that I will love them as well!!

We received compliments GALORE about our DJ. Rich was beyond fantastic at our wedding. The variety of music he chose was amazing and he really knows this business. He knew all the right times to speak, change pace etc. Our dance floor was PACKED all night long. It was a blast. I am SOOO pleased with this choice. We also added a live percussionist, Bappa, which made the music come alive! He ROCKED!!!!!! Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the live aspect of the music. This is an EXCELLENT vendor and I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!!!!

Sir Oliver: A+++++
Rich and Jen at Sir Oliver were wonderful to work with. They are very easy going and flexible. I had changed pick up and drop off locations NUMEROUS times and each time I called, they always were so pleasant. The drivers were on time and friendly, the cars were clean. We even used them to drive us to the airport and pick up from airport. Great vendor!!!! Highly recommend!!!

DH and I knew right away that we wanted to book Soul Revival as soon as we spoke to them on the phone. I have never met such nice and friendly people who were so accommodating. We met them in person and booked them on the spot. We loved their musical background and education and had complete trust that they would make our ceremony and CT hr wonderful!!!! Justin is a very talented and is a true professional and I would recommend them to ANYONE!!!!!

Never have I ever heard so many compliments in my life about a wedding ceremony. DH and I decided to have our ceremony at our hall because we are very spiritual and do not associate with organized religion. Rev. Deb met our expectations and delivered a ceremony that was so touching and so spoke to the audience about who Matt and I are. She has a true gift of understanding people and the relationships between them. She also came to our rehearsal dinner and gave us a great rehearsal. She also created a keepsake for us of the “script” of the ceremony which also includes all our readings and vows. She is wonderful!!!!!!

Bridal Gown and BM Dresses

Bridal Reflections, Massapequa: A+
I had a great experience w/ Bridal Reflections. For my gown: they were always on time w/ appointments and fittings. The seamstress ZiZi was great. My dress was strapless and scalloped on top. I am pretty large chested and was having an issue with extra “boobage” spilling over my dress. ZiZi did alterations on my bra to fix the problem and I never doubted that she would make it all work out. In the end, my dress fit great. I never felt rushed or crowded when I was there and the staff was always friendly and professional.
For BM dresses, there were never any problems. Dresses arrived on time and there were no major alteration issues.

MOB Dress

The only reason they are getting a “B” and not an “A” is because I think the owner of the salon is a total b*tch and couldn’t care less about her customers. We never had to deal w/ her directly (thank god) but seeing her around, usually in her GYM CLOTHES and on her cell phone, seemed pretty unprofessional and rude in my eyes. She never smiled or greeted/thanked anyone as the entered or left the salon.
However, my mom’s dress came in on time and the woman who did her alterations was great. The dress came was a bit tight on my mom on the first take and she worked on it and reassured my mom that it would be fine. And it was!! My mom was STUNNING!!!

Cynthia’s got talent!!!!!!!!!! I had 5 different makeup trials before I met her and was SO disappointed and unsatisfied each time. I had no idea what it was that I wanted and what I was looking for. But she was a genius!! She made me feel so beautiful. And not only is she a great makeup artist, she really is a great person and has an amazing soul. She and I really hit it off and I love her personality. She really felt like a friend that day. She helped me relax and enjoy my morning. She was even there to help me get dressed when I was having issues with my “boobage”. The makeup stayed on ALL night. She did makeup for my mom and MOH (sister) as well and it too stayed all night.

I love, love, love the way Diane from Dea did my hair. I had one trial w/ her and she nailed it!!! All of my girls had their hair done together at Dea and they even supplied champagne and bagels and OJ. They were great!!

Old Westbury Gardens: A+++
The Old Westbury Gardens are very special to me. Each year they host the Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk and my family and I walk in honor of my grandfather who died of this disease 3 yrs ago and for my uncle who is currently battling it. Therefore, I was thrilled when I found out that they had permits to have wedding pictures taken there. The grounds are gorgeous and we even had a “chaperone” to help us navigate the grounds and bring us to the sites. She was great and so friendly and helpful. It is so beautiful there.

The Wingate Inn, Garden City: A++++++++++
I worked with Jessica at the Wingate to block rooms for guests and book a suite for me and DH. They gave us an early check in so that DH and “the boys” could get ready and drink and have some fun before the ceremony. Jessica was great to work with and always quickly responded to my MANY emails. The rooms were very nice and clean. A good choice in deed

Honeymoon

Secrets Excellence, Riviera Cancun: A++++
DH and I knew we wanted to relax on our HM at an all-inclusive resort. We did ALOT of research and finally decided upon Secrets. We are so happy we did. We absolutely LOVED it there. The resort is brand new and SOOO clean. The staff is ridiculously friendly and warm. The pools are gorgeous and clean too. The restaurants were really yummy!!! Our room was SO big (we were upgraded to the Imperial Suite) and had amazing views. We loved our HM and were so sad to leave.
