What is everyone using for their first dance song and does it have any special meaning to you?

We used L-O-V-E ...no special meaning to us when we chose it. We just liked it. After about 6 months of dance lessons, it now has a lot of meaning to us.

We are using Valentine by Martina McBride and then we will invite everyone up for the second song which is True Companion by Marc Cohen - no special meanings, just love the words.

They passed the cry test.....if it makes me cry, it proves that it is perfect :)

I think we're going to use 'Can't Take My Eyes Off of You'. It's the only song my FH and I can agree on. It has no special meaning right now but after the wedding it will.

We are going to use that new song by Kelly Clarkson - 'A Moment Like This'. When I heard her sing it when she won American Idol.... I got goosebumps everywhere.... My fiance agreed!

'I just called to say I love you' By Stevie Wonder.... second song- 'I knew I loved you before I met you' I forgot who sings it. The first song because Fh was living in Brooklyn and also whenever we had an occassion to go to, we never got to go-Ex:New Years Eve- he had pneuomnia,Valentines day there was a snow storm, we had a wedding to go to his car broke down, (he has since gotten a new car! ) etc. We spent a lot of time on the phone those first few months.The second song, because we were both looking for the same type of person.

we chose at last...I think we heard it from american pie and we both liked it...but we both dated people and just never had the feelings of love that we have for each other...

we also wanted a second song...'somewhere beyond the sea' b/c we have both been back and forth from US to Europe (my family is from Germany and his is from Spain) but when we compared notes...we were never there the same years..plus he was planning on moving back to Spain before we met and we decided that if he had...we would still date...but then he got a great job in NY and stayed!!

since they both grew up in the 70's they wanted a song from then...

she wanted 'how deep is your love' beegees...but BIL said no!! lol

We are using 'Dont want to miss a thing' by Aerosmith. FH dedicated that song to me about 3 weeks of dating and it has stuck with us ever since.

Our first song is 'Thank You For Loving Me' by Bon Jovi. He sang it to me one night and it was beautiful. He was home for the weekend, (he is in the Army), and one night he turned off all the lights, lit candles, and sang to me. So it has special meaning. The second song where everyone joins in will be 'Always and Forever' by Heatwave. I have loved that song since I was younger and he signs all his letters with Always and Forever.

We have 2 songs also -

1: Amazed by Lonestar is our 1st song - FH will
use the DJ's mic and sing it to me while we
dance.

2: I Cross My Heart by George Strait will be our
second song when everyone will be invited to
join us.

This topic makes me so upset, because we can not decide on a song! We have been together for so long that we have lots of songs...I hope I can decide soon.
