Width of Ribbon for program?

I am totally clueless. I am trying to be creative and make my own programs. I want to tie the pages together with ribbon. What width is the nicest for this? Thanks

We did not use ribbon, what we used was tassles, that ran along the entire length of the program. I think they worked much better than the ribbons did for me. Go to the craft store take your program with you and see which you prefer.

Are you looking to do something like this??

I am doing the idea that shamma's post shows and I bought 7/8' sheer organza ribbon. Not too thick and not to thin. Works good for me.

That was even fancier than what I thought I wanted to do. I was going to just literally have the length of the ribbon going down the side with a small knot on the bottom of the program with two ends hanging. I know it is hard to explain and I don't have programs. I actually now think I remember sonicstef doing something like what I want to do.

This was another reason I did not like ribbon, b/c it did not stay in place.

Shamma, your second one is what I want!!! Only I thought I would do it with ribbon, not a tassel. I have not tried it but Maybe a tassel stays better.!!! The second one is the one you had right? That is where I want the ribbon to fall.

We were posting together, the tassle is really thin so it stay that way when you tie it, the tie is close to the end of the paper and it is tied tightly.
