another hawaii question

what do you think is the best order to go to these islands--maui, kuai, oahu

--i was thinking about taking the direct flight from newark to oahu then onto kuai and leaving for CA from maui. how does this sound? & thanks for letting me post soooo many HM questions!!

We're flying from LaGuardia to Maui then flying from Maui to Oahu for the last 3 days of our trip. We're not going to Kauai at all.

I'm going straight to Kaui cause I figure its the most relaxing island and after the wedding that is exactly what I want, I was also debating Oahu first which is all the touristy stuff to get it over with first but I dont know that after that long plane ride I would be up to all that.

Where are you staying on each island? We did the best place first, and in retrospect I wish we had saved the best for last!

We are flying to Maui first then to kuuai and leaving from there. The reason we went in that order is that we were told by many different people that Kuai is more relaxing and remote than Maui so we wanted to go there last.

We are just doing a day trip to Oahu

We just got back from Hawaii and we flew to Maui first and then we flew to Oahu and came home from there.

I saved Kauai for last and am glad I did that. It is just so beautiful not sure if the other islands would have compared if I went there first.

We flew from Newark to Oahu and then immediately jumped on a plane to Kuai (stayed 5 days) then Maui (5 days) & then back to Oahu (2 days). It worked out perfectly b/c Kuai is much smaller & more relaxed then the other islands and we got the much needed rest the first few days...allowing us to enjoy the rest of the vacation. Trust me, you will be so exhausted the first 1-2 days, and I would recommend sitting on the beach on those days and doing your sightseeing afterwards.
