Woodbury Country Club Review
I went to a wedding yesterday at the Woodbury CC and just wanted to let you girls know how it went. It truly was great. FH and I missed the cocktail hour because he had work - but we heard that the food was really good and plentiful. They had it outside and it was really pretty. Only negative thing is that the chairs were green plastic chairs. Dont know if anyone minds that...
The wedding was in the downstairs room. I thought it was a little dark but the bride might have wanted it that way...
The service was really good...they were helpful yet discreet...so not to the point where you are going to kill your waiter for asking you too many times if you are ok. They did refill drinks to a certain degree. One thing I liked was when they were taking orders for dinner, the waiter stopped while the bride and groom came in, instead of making us decided and miss their entrance.
When we received our dinner selection the waiters did ask us if everything was ok...which i thought was good...I had the chateau briand which was very tasty. FH had the chicken marsala, whcih I thought was a little dry but over all good.
The wedding cake was also very tasty...I personally didnt like the viennese table (it might have been a touch of viennese because it was rather small. JMO, but there were only different types of cream pies and tarts...Not my thing but others may like it.
All in all though, everything was really great. The bride was so happy and everything went very smoothly.
Also, there was another wedding going on at the same time. I didnt notice anyone from the other party until we were leaving and had a short wait for our car. By short I mean 5 minutes - not bad at all. They had a lot of valet attendants.
