no it's not, you just won't get the bells and whistles. Try twelfth night, their basic package is a little under $2k

you can also check out www.wpja.com. Its for wedding photojournalists if you are interested in that kind of photography and there are several on there with packages that start under 2K

I 2nd 12th night - they are very reasonable and their work is great! the other poster is right that the basic package is under 2K and the next package up is not too far over 2K, and they give you a discount on the 2nd photographer for that. Definitely check it out! They are located in Garden City.

I was looking for a package around that price also, but I wasn't planning on getting an album. So far I have visited Dan Wagner, Twelfth Night and Martin Willard and have an appointment with Thomas Paul this week. All of them take gorgeous pictures and they have all been really helpful in accommodating our budget and have even made great suggestions about printing. If you plan to make your own album $2000 is definitely doable and I would definitely recommend talking to any of these studios.

I agree, if you can do your own album that would greatly cut down on costs...Albums can be pretty pricey, upper hundreds and alot of them in the thousands range, so by doing it yourself it will save alot.

Totally doable. There have been some great threads on this, check em out. We're using Aaron Almendral and have seen some great shots on his website. check him out!

Definitely doable. Albums are expensive though but I would still go with something smaller but done professionally. Call different places and try to negotiate. It is also good to know exactly what you want in a package.

I'd suggest my photographer Mark from Taylor Studios. They do great work and their prices are fair. We're paying a lil more for photo & video

it is absolutely doable. i found several independent photographers (not part of a studio) that do amazing work for around the $2k mark. You won't get much in the way of albums but you will definitely get the digital negatives which is what is the most valuable thing. If you have those, you can have an album done later when you guys potentially have more money to spend, and it could be an anniversary present to yourselves! GL, just remember it CAN be done!
