Calling all CLM girls...I have a question or two for you!

Hey girls...I am trying to finally decide on my hall and CLM is way up there in the running. I just have a few questions!!!!

1. Has anyone had a wedding there with 275-300 people, and was it too crowded??? And how was it with getting drinks for all your guests??? Did they keep up with the table side service???
I come from a big family of drinkers and hate waiting on line for drinks and dont want my family to either.

2. Has anyone had a rainy day wedding there??? I absolutely love the place, but I am just worried that I will be disappointed on my wedding day if it rains and I can't have the option for the outside cocktail hour...so I was just wondering how everyone dealt with this through experience???

My wedding would be a friday night in october and I would be hoping to start my cocktail hour at about 6-630 in order to catch the sunset

I am having my wedding there nov.10, 2007. It was raining when I went to see it for the first time, and i still fell in love with it. The regular cocktail room is gorgeous.

I think the room downstairs will definately hold that many people. It's tremendous.

$75 pp...with tax and graituity, it comes to like $100 a person.

They might give you a small price because you're having more people than I am, but I am not at all sure about that.

Maybe you should post to a Newlywed board to ask the newlyweds?

CLM is worth it, no matter what the weather! But I totally hear ya...I would miss the boat ride sooooo much!!

The affordability, food and service are what makes the place- you can't go wrong!!!

I'm not a CLM bride but I did check the place out a couple of weeks ago.

Here's my advice: If you're having 275-300, ask them to throw in a couple more bartenders because according to Lou, they only give you 2 servers in the downstairs room. Then again, I told him I'd be having 200-225 guests.

In order to avoid those lines you're talking about, I think you'd need 4 minimum. JMO

when i was there visiting i saw a party with about 270 guests. it was crowded. tables were packed in there tight and there was not much of a dance floor left. also try to get another barteneder cause i heard 2 is not enough for 175 guests i read from someone else.

My wedding is there next October and they have been the best to me!!!

As far a bartender service, my FH co-worker just got married there a few weeks ago and she said each table had a waiter/waitress to keep everything flowing, including the drinks. That's what we were told when we booked a well.

I love the room, the atmosphere, the price...im just nervous that if i get pouring rain, that one we won't fit in the cocktail room...and two i will be a bit disappointed....i want to set myself up for a stress free day as possible

I think everything will be great, however I only had about 140 or so and I think we could accomodate maybe 50 more, but not more than that comfortably.

Hi, another CLM girl here but not much help since we only had 150 people....but the service there is amazing, I am sure they would make sure to keep up...also had a beautiful sunny day sooo sorry not much help. CLM was amazing though--no complaints!!!
