um... happy thanksgiving? i guess?

So FMIL has a tendency to flip out out of nowhere when something is bothering her. She did it to me right after FH bought my ring but before I knew anything about it and I was like ***? We didn't talk for like 3 weeks which is unusual.

Well she and FH were kidding around about FH eatiing too much appys before dinner and he got loud and said I'm not 12 and she got PISSSSSEEd and stormed upstairs... FH tried to talk to her and she starting screaming get out of my room go have Thanksgiving with your fiancee... Then sha came down to check on the turkey and said u wanted a memorable thanksgiving you got one...I'm the mother no one talks to me like that in my house

Great. So me and FSIL are just like dooooo do do... Syaring at each other across the table. Fh is mad FMIL is mad FFIL is all this is ridiculous

I'd like to go talk to her but I know I'm the last person who can make this better so I'm staying out of it. She's upset cause it's his 'last Thanksgiving' which I get to.a degree but really were probably going to live like 15 blocks away when we get married, calm down...

Ugh my family may be seperated but my parents aren't lunatics. Kinda wish we had gone to my uncles in jersey. Now I'm sitting in the living room all by myself.

FH decided hed take his friend up Jets tickets, so guess who he ISNT going to be with.
and about your FMIL, it will prob blow over, take the 'alone' in the living room as a blessing, it could be you who she was screaming at to make matters worse :)

My advice? You can't do much about it today....I know it's gunna be awkward but its not your fault...if she wants to be miserable, then let her. Think of it this way...its HER 'last thanksgiving' that she gets to pull this nonsense.

A friend gave me this advice. She said 'I kept my mouth shut until the day the wedding bands went on. After that, I can't make any promises that I'll control myself or that I won't answer back.' Take deep breaths lol

HOLY CRAP!!! Im sorry that you are going thru this on a very meaningful day! Thanksgiving is the day everyone should put their miserable-ness aside and be THANKFUL for the great things they have in life... such as good health, family, roof over their head!

In any case - try to enjoy the day the best you can!

Its not FH's LAST Thanksgiving, thats kinda annoying - i get it, but still kinda stupid!
Its should be a HAPPY time, and like you said - you aren't going to be far away from them! Not like you guys will live in Timbuktu! lol

next year should be the best because they will have a new addition to the family!!!!!!

And yes Cat I'm here all day and staying over to help put up the tree tomorrow. THAT should be intersting! I hate this walking on eggshells nonsense. My mom was like that when I was a teenager and let me tell you prozac does wonders for some poeple
