Budget Photography &/or Video

Hey Guys. I am on a really tight budget. (Background info: currently living in South America were minimum wage is $208/month -- yes two hundred and eight!!!! -- Although not making minimum wage myself, its FAR FAR FAR FAR from my old NY salary.)

I have gotten suggestions to nix video and/or photography but am such a sentimental person that I hate this idea. I take pics of everything and LOVE going through pics and especially video. I especially like pics of things that happened before my time and think it would be cool to show my kids later on.

I know it may be hard to find but does anyone know a photographer and/or videographer that has very reasonable prices. (definitely under $1000 -- perferably not that high either)??

Please let me know. I appreciate the help.

I looked into Noelle P. Wilson and Hybrid Media Production. Both are pretty affordable. With HMP, you can get photos and video for a great price.

I would suggest finding someone to shoot the wedding and then make the albums and prints yourself with the proofs on kodak.com or another site like that. I don't know if major companies will book for that little so maybe go for someone who freelances... I used to freelance and would shoot events for very little... it was more of a hobby than anything else... but that might be a good option.

J'Adore Love has packages starting at $1500, but may be willing to negotiate.

ETA: SkidMark also has video packages starting at around $500 i think. I believe they are both vendors on LIweddings and/or NYCityweddings.

Don't skimp out on your photography and videography. These are your memories. You will find something, don't worry

try Mark Stevens from Taylor Studios. A budget bride used them and her pics were great. He also gave her the pics on a high res cd and she made her own albums on the kodak website.

Video- If you want just raw footage Couped Up Productions for $595 but if you want light editing $895 so you can great photo and video on a budget.

I second this re: couped up. We booked them (but are paying over $1000 for editing, etc.), but they definitely have the $595 package

i would also suggest if you don't have the money to use someone who is trying to establish themselves..we used tiffany lee for our eparty, and she did a good job..a few other girls here have used her as well..you could look around on craigs list..fm if you want more info..

I second HMP. They did my wedding and loveeeeedddd their work. Elena can get you into a budget that you are comfortable with and that suits your needs. Check out their website FM me if you want more info
