If I weren't already married...

I pretty much met the most awesome potential boyfriend in the coffee place in Grand Central.

He was buying beer as I bought coffee. He bought like 20 beers. I was behind him to pay and the cashier asked him if he needed cups and I said, 'He doesn't need cups, they're all for him.' He laughed, declined on the cups.

Turns out, Beer Boy not only works in my building, he works three floors up from me - which means sharing an elevator with him and his beer.

He said, 'I won't tell you which company I work for.'

'Don't worry, I don't follow alcoholics.'

'The bosses are out - so it's really for everyone. I'm not an alcoholic.'

'Whatever.'

He's adorable. He wished me a happy Friday minus beer.

I love meeting potential boyfriends randomly.

beer is the great lubricator.

You know what I'm saying -

Yeah.

it's cause you are hott.

my list is long and distinguished, and grows steadily on a weekly basis.

and that's exactly why I don't ever take it further.

relationships are like heroin. it hits you hard, takes you high...but then eventually, it takes more and more to feel that high again...and you think you'll get it if you try another drug...but it's not the drug..it's the simple make up of man. we are wired to get used to things...but we are also wired to seek the new.

love is the great equalizer...if we treat it as such.
