My BM showed me a picture of the cakes that they have done and we saw one that we liked but we have no idea what kind of cake or filling to get. I asked about possibly doing a tasting and was told no.

I know - totally stinks! I was told to narrow it down to some things you think you would like (ex: vanilla cake with ___ filling, chocolate cake with ___filling, etc.) and then order one of those cakes from the bakery when you have to bring desserts to a BBQ/friend's house for dinner/party/etc. Sort of a pain but FH and I might do it since we are major desserties Plus, we both love carrot cake and are thinking of doing that but we need to try it first because some bakeries can really screw it up

There is a girl from The Knot that I talk to and she IM'd me raving about the cakes from the bakery and said that we have nothing to worry about.

Hey- are you going to get anyone/anything for CH music?

That is so good to hear! I've seen on this board that some people have said their cakes were dry.

We booked a band and they will be providing someone for the CH.

I have met with their florist, and he is great. Very helpful and full of ideas. I think that we are going to order a couple of cakes to bring with us to parties in order to taste thier different options. Good thing the holidays are going to come up soon.

I am going to a wedding at the Cottage House next month, can't wait to see them in action.
