Reviews on Windows on the Lake

I am getting married there next July. Any reviews on the place/service/staff?

I went there for a sweet sixteen in Jan. and it was nice. The food they had was good....it was a buffet style but we enjoyed it. I know a wedding will be different, but it is a nice place. I like how across the street there is the garden and lake...so beautiful!

Go in the search section and look for them. There are reviews of them in there.

Honestly, I didn't have a good experience with them and was shocked by what I saw in reviews....so we didn't book there. Sorry.

I live near the area and I always notice that they have bridal shows /expos usally every couple of months. You should check when the next one is

we are booked at beach club estate (their sister hall) next year. i have heard both good and bad things about them, but i think you'll find that with most places.

my experience with them so far has been REALLY great. i actually just called and spoke with frank today b/c i want to show my mom the beach club, since she's never seen it. frank was SO nice, and he made sure to find a time when i could stop by this weekend and he said he'll be there.

i just have a great feeling about them, and i think despite a few bad reviews about minor things here and there, that they are going to do a GREAT job for my wedding. and since it's the same management i know your wedding will be great too!!

Hey everyone!! Yes I'm new to the boards.

So far the planning hasn't been so bad-we really haven't booked anything yet. You'd be surprised how many places I called and were booked that day! It's very popular b/c everyone is off the next day! Plus you can't beat the price.

We couldn't do a Fri/Sat for religous reasons so a friend mentioned that day and liked it. Plus we have the weekend to unwind and hangout with OOT.

Hello... you have a date twin!!!!!!! I am also a Thursday July 3,2008 bride! Funny thing is that just this week I found like 10 more date twins!!! I know what you mean about the vendors being booked. I started planning back in March and vendors were turning me down One of my vendors has been booked for that day since 2006!!! But, don't worry bc some of my vendors were willing to give me a price break bc it was a weekday wedding!! Happy planning! FM me if you have any questions!!

I went there for a wedding October

It's very pretty - my friend got married on the lake across the street and the sun was just setting - it was gorgeous

The cocktail hour was okkk

The room was pretty (w/ the cloud scene on ceiling) but the food was very disappointing
The filet mignon was so dried out that everyone had to drench it in some gravy sauce to eat it

definitely check out the reviews of it on The Bride's Review board here---it seems that ppl feel it is a hit or miss place--and has received mixed reviews.

FBIL got married @ windows on the lake and everyone had an amazing time! The CH was really good. (i hadnt been to too many LI weddings so to me, there was TONS of food, and it was all pretty good from what i remember). the CH room got a little crowded, but they also had a large guest list 200 + . The ceremony was very nice, the lake was beautiful and there was a nice area there for picture taking. some people on here have mentioned being worried about guests having to cross the street after the ceremony but it really was not a big deal. they stop the traffic for u when all the guests cross over. The reception again, was great. the room is very pretty! the food was good from what i can remember (dont remember anything being bad). and they had a chocolate fountain which was a big hit! they also had i think it was a mini vienesse (pastries) by the fountain that was very good. all in all i had a good experience at the wedding, i think the place is definately what you make of it. if FBIL didnt get married there and if it wasnt so far)i would have looked into it with FH for sure! i think you will have abeautiful wedding!!!
