NWR: home remedy??

so i've been googling a possible home remedy or something i can do/buy to try and promote hair growth... i really want my hair to be at least half way down my back for our wedding in may... i dont really have the $$ for extensions so i was wondering if there was something i could do to my hair that would help it to grow?

any suggestions would be great!!!

I've never heard of a home remedy..but trim your hair every 3 months..thats supposed to help it grow as your cutting off the dead ends

This is not true. Cutting/trimming your hair does not make it grow faster.

Crasher here...My friends mom is a hairdresser and says that prenatal vitamins make your hair grow faster, maybe that would be a cheap way to go!

are these something i can get over the counter?? what exactly ARE pre-natal vitamins?

i agree!! im a hairdresser (well used to be did all the schooling just didnt like it) and it is a wives tale (sp?) that cutting it makes it grow faster.. your hair grows from the root (scalp) so cutting the ends couldnt possibly make it grow faster.. it makes it look healthier. Prenatal vit. do help and biotin and flax seed oil aids in hair and nail growth!

yes you can get them at like GNC, CVS,Eckard

heres an idea of whats in a prenatal vit.

4,000 and 5,000 IU (international units) of vitamin A
800 and 1,000 mcg (1 mg) of folic acid
400 IU of vitamin D
200 to 300 mg of calcium
70 mg of vitamin C
1.5 mg of thiamine
1.6 mg of riboflavin
2.6 mg of pyridoxine
17 mg of niacinamide
2.2 mcg of vitamin B-12
10 mg of vitamin E
15 mg of zinc
30 mg of iron

Ask any hair dresser. Your hair grows from the root. Cutting the ends doesn't stimulate growth.

i hear the flax see oils can cause some side effects.. not sure what.. but its only if you take too much you can ask your doctor about them. but the prenatals are prob the best way to go.. yes its safe to take them. their just geared towards a woman. you can always speak with your doc. but i've started taking them and im not looking to get preggo for a while. just good for skin hair and nails.

eckard had a vitamin that was called skin, hair and nails (something along those lines) and it had alot of biotin, folic acid, flax seed. it was a good combo you might want to check that out also.

yes, but no it wont make you get preggo! no fertility pills!!! . and no prob. you can google all these things and you can get more info.
