Anyone familiar with Irish/UK measurements for tuxes

Or just clothing measurements in general. Are they normally done in metric or inches?

I'm nervous that our GM will give us measurements for their tuxes we have to order in centimeters and the tux place will need them in inches. I know you can compute it but there's always going to be a problem.

Also one guy is coming in THREE DAYS before the wedding. We have to bring him to the tux place as soon as he flies in. Do you think there's going to be much of a problem?

Should I mail him a sheet with what measurements he needs to have, and if so, what measurements does he need (height, chest, waist...what else?)

I am not sure but you should also post this on the vendor board as well. Maybe fm'ing a tuxedo vendor.

I have an Irish man in my wedding party.... I had him go to a tailor in Dublin (where he lives) & do the conversion into US measurements. Their sizing is very different. Not necessarily metric, just a different system.

It worked out very well.

OK thanks..I had a feeling and with one guy coming 3 days beforehand from Ireland I really don't need any screwups!
