B) Send out Invites 1- for out of towners 2- for closer folks

STD's you can send them now for both out of towners and the close bys.
Invites, I'd send them 2 months in advance...maybe like 3 months for the out of towners.

a rule of thumb for STDs i once heard was:
1 year for out of country 6-9 months for out of town (& must have locals)
invites confuse me. i hear anywhere from 4-8 weeks, but that seems too short for me. i will most likely send mine out in june for september, not sure though...
