I am going to a Longaberger party tomorrow night, and to be honest, their products are just not my cup of tea. They are also kind of one the pricey side and we are saving for the wedding, so i want to purchase the most sensible item for the $$ What would you all order?
covered casserole dish with protective pad $69
9x13 (3 quart) baking dish $55 in plain ivory
9 in. Pie plate in sage or ivory $28
14 1/2in diameter cake plate $45
Soup Tureen $150 (ha ha ha)

I share a room with my building coordinator and she invited us all to a party. I feel it would be rude to not order something . . .

I feel the same way, like I have to buy something. What I usually do at these types of parties is set an amount of money to spend and don't go over it. Can you buy a gift for someone?

Buy the pie plate, then give it as a gift?

I like the pie plate. You can use it for rolls/bread, among other things (that's if you should choose to keep it.)

Why not buy a Longaberger basket? Some increase in value when Longaberger retires them. I have a friend who has a basket in her collection worth well over $800.00. Her entire collection is insured (she's a bit Longaberger obsessed). I'm from the part of Ohio where Longaberger is located at...their corporate headquarters is a big basket...
ETA buy the pie plate...my Dad uses his all the time.

I LOVE Longaberger baskets...I have quite a few in my collection and I also have that pie plate among others from their pottery collection.
If you feel obligated to buy something...buy the pie plate...it's great...and like jenny said, you can always use it for something else.
