POLL How many of your parents socialize with your (Future) in-laws???

Just curious . . . I know some do, while others do not.

my parents invited the FIL's over for brunch tomorrow. this will be the first unchaperoned visit . both families are OOT and live 2 1/2 hours from each other. i hope this trend continues...

My dad (mom is deceased) has only met FH's father. We have been together for five years and they have met a total of one time. (at our engagement party) My dad hasn't met his mom cause she didn't bother to come to our party!!! It is upsetting but I have a feeling this will always be the case!!

we have them socialize - they don't do it on their own but we make sure we share holidays together...

My parents live in Florida and my FILs are here on Long Island. They don't socialize. They've only met and spoke once and FH and I are together for 4 years now.

My FH and I try to get the rents together a couple of times a year - for holidays, bdays and other special events. Mom and gma even went to FSIL shower w/o me (which I thought was really cool). Mom and FMIL talk on the phone sometimes too.

they talk on the phone occasionally, and get together for dinner but usually only when we're home. They were talking about going on a cruise together though! I don't think it would cause problems, but I don't want them to become best buds or anything.

my parents have met my FIL's on several different occassions, but my mom and FMIL are very different so they don't really have much in common. but i'd rather have it this way, then have them at odds over every little thing. it keeps the peace

Our parents get along wonderfully and often get together without us knowing it. It really is a nice thing.

Unfortunately, both of FH's parents are deceased, as is my dad. His brother and sister have met my mom a few times.

My mom doesn't really like In Laws and they live in Florida/Connecticut so they hardly ever socialize. Just big stuff like the wedding.

My inlaws only consit of a MIL and and Uncle and his wife, so we try and incorporate them into all the important holidays and events.

Thankfully both DHs and my parents get along great, but my parent's live in Vegas and his are in the UK so they only socialize when everyone is here for the holidays.
