*My Hawaiian Bridal Shower* - Added More Pictures!
I had my shower yesterday. I had the best time EVER I couldn't imagine a better bridal shower![]()
The shower is was in my aunt and uncles backyard. My aunt (the mother of 2 of my bridesmaids), my Mother, my Sister (MOH) and my best friend (BM) worked so hard and did a really great job. I was a little worried about how things were going to turn out after all the drama with this shower.. like my sister forgetting to mail out some invitations and losing the list, then the tables and chairs thay were suppossed to rent cancelled at the last minute. Luckily my FFIL had a client who does tables so he got them for us.
My sister told me to wear a bathing suit under my outfit. Right when I walked into the backyard my BMs started taking off my skirt and shoes and put a grass skirt on me and these flip flops with flowers on them. They also put a flower in my hair and a flower lei. They were all dressed in grass skirts and flower bikini tops over their real bathing suit. Although I knew where and when my shower was and them theme I didn't see any of the decorations or props until that day. I was really suprised and happy with everything![]()
They had Hawaiian Music playing too! OMG the cake was so awesome!!!! My cousin's friend's mother made it and my aunt helped her. There was a fountain on the bottom and it was decorated with flowers. They did a really good job! The food was also super yummy! I am going to have to find out the name of the catering company for you all.
Then I opened presents for a loooong time. I got just about everything on my registry plus more! I wasn't expecting that because we invited almost 100 but only 60 came. There were some dirty presents mixed in there that were pretty funny. I got a blow up penis that my great-grandmother took and said she was going to bring home.![]()

Then when the presents were done my BM Kelly and my other 2 best friends Jennyand Lindsay had a suprise for me. That morning they went over to Rays house and asked him questions about us, like where was our first kiss, and videotaped his answers. Then at the shower they asked me the same questions and then played back his answer. It was really cute and I got them all right![]()
Then at the end of the tape he was saying all these sweet things and they zoomed in on pictures of us. It was really cute some people started crying![]()
It didn't rain all day. There was a little drizzle at one point and we thought it was going to start so we went inside for the rest of the presents and cake, but it was OK. I am actually glad it wasn't sunny because I was hot enough without the sun out. Opening presents is a lot of work!
Then the guys came over (my FH, the bridal party, and biys from the immediate family). We had a hero come out and all the leftover food from earlier. Oh I forgot to say we had 2 waitresses hired and they did the phenominal job! So if anyone needs one FM me and I wil get the info. When the guys got there theydressed up my FH and made him open some presents. My mom told the boys to get some stuff that would be funny.... WELL they got some pretty gross things like a blowup doll, a penis pump, something for his pocket - EWWW. It was funny though.
By this time most of the people left and only our best friends were there and immediate family. We all went in the pool and played drinking games until 1 AM. So I had a 12 hour shower![]()
