I know...I had that fear too,,but my mom used it in the 80s and it never burnt the house down,,it's safe.

Me too!! I was freaking out but everyone just went . My house is still standing so I'm sure it'll be fine.

What are you making? We should all exchange crock pot recipes!

Re: Crock Pot

I'm making pork spare ribs. I hope they fall off the bone like the recipe says! It's so easy:

dice an onion, throw it in crock pot

put salt and pepper on ribs put them in crock pot

pour a bottle of masterpiece bbq sauce all over ribs and set it on low setting for 8 to 10 hours. That's it!

I hope my two cats aren't cooked with the ribs when I get home!

GIMMIE OTHER RECIPES!!!

I love my crock pot but I am too scared to leave on while I'm not home. I have used it overnight though.

True, i had an old one that was my moms and my sauce came out great. The first time I used my new one, the bottom got a little burned and the amount shrunk! Second time i just cooked it less and it was ok. But they don't cook the same (old and new crocks)

Anyone have a good chunky sauce recipe????

Re: Crock Pot

I guess stuff can evaporate out of it, its not tightly sealed. Its a pretty thick mixture i guess, but it got even thicker after cooking.
