Hotel Dilemma from yesterday updated - Wording..... Does this sound right?
For those of you that read my dilemma on hotels, I reworded the card that will accompany my std magnet.
Arrangements have been made for our out of town guests and bridal party at the 'Hotel A'. A special rate of '$$$'per night has been provided, but reservations must be made before September 9,2005. Should you choose to reserve a room, please mention that you are with the Diva/bride wedding. Accommodations can also be made at the 'hotel b' which is located adjacent to the reception hall. For more information regarding the 'hotel b', please contact us. If we can be of any assistance to you, please feel free to ask Hotel A 123 Main Street LIWland, NY 10001
Is this ok?

I'm a lil confused....do you really want people contacting you about Hotel B?

Yes. I didnt want to block rooms there because if they dont book, Im held financially responsible for it. If I have enough guests that would like to stay there, then I'll request a block.

You could ask hotel A to send people to hotel B if it's all booked up. They won't do that if they still have availbility. Most hotels will work with you if they don't have vacancies. I wouldn't have them call you...yikes!

One other thing to think about. I just went through this. Our hotel told us that all reservations needed to be in by one month prior to the wedding, or else they would no longer guarantee the rates.
On my STD's, I put a slightly earlier date than was necessary, because I didn't want people waiting until the last minute. It seemed to work well, but of course, wouldn't you know it that 3 days before the REAL cutoff, we had people calling us asking if they could STILL get the rate because it was past the cutoff date. They lucked out because we had padded everything.
This may not be necessary, but I figured that I should bring it up.
Good luck!

I was thinking the same thing. I was going to put September 1st. I think I will change it to be on the safe side. Thanks
