Are you thinking of this now?? Is this instead of changing the date again?

Caribbean Weddings

All Sandals do it. Actually, most resorts will do it - the best bet is to just pick the resort you want and work with the manager there.

Well...

We might run off and ..

But still have a celebration at the Swan Club sometime in 2006... since it's almost paid for at this point.

We decided not to decide until after the surgery

It's great that I have you guys because we also decided not to tell anyone yet

I just came back from this resort in Mexico and saw a few brides while I was there. They have a gorgeous chapel and also can get married on the beach. I was so tempted to run off and go there to get married but all my vendors have deposits. So romantic on the beach. There are so many gorgeous locations. Good luck with your search!

That's AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good for you guys!!!!!!! Ooh, ok, I have to run now but I'll be back on later on, I'll do some research and send you links. Do you have a specific part of the Caribbean in mind, or like flight time requirements or something?

Not sure if this is an idea for you, but my sister got married on a cruise. She used Royal Carribean. It was beautiful. She got married as the sun set on the island of St thomas. Very beautiful!!

A friend was a BM in a wedding on St. Thomas and it was really pretty in the pics - right on the beach. The couple and a few family members/friends went on a Royal Carribean Cruise. They planned it for about 2 years so everyone could afford it.

The only problem (if it can even be considered a problem) was the flowers. The bride was supposed to pick out tropical flowers a day or two before the wedding (and for some reason cold not pick them out much more in advance). She did not want to do that since she was not familiar with the flowers (by name). My friend (a BM) made silk arrangments and just took them on the cruise.

Not sure if you would consider Mexico but we love the Royal Hideaway resort. I have seen a few weddings there - on the beach - and they are beautiful. www.royalhideaway.com

It's in Playacar - about an hour from Cancun.

We started to plan for a 2/19/06 wedding at Royal Hideaway and even got a group discount on American Airlines (with invite insert cards). But the family balked to much about the idea so we are not doing Mexico.
