OK in honor of every christmas I have been on LIW My annual post. WORST GIFT YOU EVER GOT? REGIFTED?
My DH grandmother every year regifts. See the key to regifting is that you should regift to some one who doesnt know the person who gave it to you and never give it to the same person. I gave her a snowman thing the first year Mike and I were together. The next year I went to his sisters house and sitting with all the presents I saw the snowman. I was like did grandma give that to you she goes ya why? Im like cause I gave it to her last year. One year MSIL aunt gave grandma towels and the next year she gave her back the same ones. Everytime I watch old School I think of it.
BUT by FAR THE BEST IS THAT every year since we have been together she has given me a pocketbook. And not just any pocketbook one of her old used pocketbook. This last christmas was the BEST one I ever got. It was GOLD AND BRONZE and Quilted Leather. It had a chain with Leather going through. You know like from the 80's but it was all scratched and when I opened it up it was all ripped up inside. I know you guys are like AWWW its his grandmother leave her alone shes old but she's not. And they have LOTS of money (like Mikes sister and Brother each just got houses we cant have one cause we wont mover to Florida) And its not like she is old and forgetfull. It really hurts my feelings no thought goes into it all she does is go in her closet and pull things out that she doesnt want and wrap them up.
SO WHAT WAS YOUR WORST GIFT OR REGIFT?
P.S. I will be bumping this thread Dec. 26 fot this years christmas.

The worst present I got was cheap cologne. Not only was it cheap it was an obvious regift because it was sooooooo old. I also got a pair of earrings from lord and taylor. At first I was pretty impressed, until I saw a couple of stones missing that gave me the hint they were 'clearance'.

This is a story about my FH. He is not a very tall man...he's 5'5, and looks like mighty mouse-very nice shoulders and arms, has to wear athletic cut shirts....he has muscular legs, but he really looks like a V. For Christmas one year his grandmother gave him a white mesh muscle tank that a stripper would wear......
sometimes he puts it on for me when I am in a grumpy mood, I can 't help but giggle....

HAHAHA speaking of old boyfriends my best friends EX BOYFRIEND got her a pink fleece and these ugly UGLY GLoves and hat that where Red Yellow Green and Blue. It didnt match the fleece he got her and his mom got her slipper socks.

When I was around 14 I got a purple cordoroy jumper from my aunt. I was like 'are you kidding me?' I WISH I had a pic of it. So she made me try it on and thank God it didn't fit. Then she asks me if she can have it back to return. So I couldn't have given it back to her fast enough. She gave me like $20 instead, which I was more than happy with. Then... I see her niece (from her side of the family) who was alot younger than me wearing it a few months later!! So I asked her where she got it, and she smiles all proud: Aunt Patty!
I mean how many purple cordory jumpers can there be out there??

A used GOLD, shiney makeup bag..smelled like perfume and had lipstick marks in it..YUCK!!! The minute I got it, I threw it out!!

Oh my goodness - your Grandma is a real kick!
The worst gift that I got was money from my parents. And that's ALL that they got me. Totally ignored my Christmas list. I was SO hurt. Stuff like that just says to me 'gee, you're not that important to waste my time on buying you a gift, so here's some money - go buy your own'. Meanwhile, I'm the type of person who will shop 'til I drop to _try_ to find the perfect gift for everyone. AND I'll wrap it real pretty. So I was really insulted by the money.

Seriously. I'm now going to try and find a picture of it for you guys. It was completely priceless. My mom was hysterical laughing at me. Then my mom and I DIED when we saw her niece wearing it!

a co worker gave me an old coach wallet that had holes in it and it was dirty the pockets where you put credit cards in were ripped
but she is old and a cute lady . she gave it to me cause she knows i like name brand things her nick name for me is 'MADONNA IN THE 80'S-) HOW CUTE IS SHE!!!!!! it was the thought that counts
