why didnt someone tell me....

iam working on a rough draft of seating
apx 130 people - family & friends

i thought this was going to be easy........NOT...

i have some tables with 7
some with 12

heeeheee heee ...

The earlier the better. Put all your guests at tables and as the 'no's' arrive just move people around. It helped me tremendously when we had to finalize!

What was harder for me was the layout of the tables - were to put this table versus that table in relation to the dias, the dance floor, the bar and the DJ ... that was fun, NOT!

ETA: We had wacky tables too ... some with 8, some with 16 ... but as we got the responses we were able to consolidate and even out. We still range from 11 per table to 14 per table but at least it's not 6 & 15!

but wanted to work manual
as not sure re FH side

when i am done - then i will put
in speadsheet

Now, if we told you how much fun would THAT be? then we wouldnt get to see you banging your head against the wall all over this thread

jk, LP.... i havent even started yet.... Youre well ahead of the game.. you will be fine!!!

you should have fun with your guests... make it like musical chairs... put 12 people at a table but then only 11 seats... and everytime a new song comes on, they all have to switch i'm burnt out from this wedding stuff

OMG I am totally not looking forward to this....especially since I have to keep my mother and fathers families waaaaay apart from one another!

Wow you are starting even without your rsvp cards?? It might make it a little easier to wait b/c you really never know who will say yes and who will say no. Might make some tables you think will be crowded smaller and some empty tables more full - jmo

I never believed it but I have been getting no's from people I expected and yes's from people I didnt.

I never believed it but I have been getting no's from people I expected and yes's from people I didnt.

we did a heads up before we mailed the invits - we called EVERYONE & 95% said they are coming. Hence - drafting begins....
