my brother is getting married during the blizzard

I feel so badly for my younger brother and his fiance. They are getting married on Saturday and all we've heard is SNOW!! They are panicking. And I'm sad because they deserve the MOST BEAUTIFUL day and the weather could ruin it.

My fingers and toes are crossed. I wish them luck I always wanted a 'white' wedding. It will be the most beautiful day no matter what.

Well, most meteorologists are up there with most psychics when it comes to being accurate. You never know, maybe it will be ok.

last I heard was another post about Bill Evans saying at least 6 inches it's so hard to tell right now since everything is riding on which direction the storm moves.....

I hope it misses us and your brother has a wnoderful wedding day!!

I don't really give too much weight to the weather people when it comes to big storms like this. They love to hype up the first big storm of the season and it usually ends up being a huge let down. Regardless of whether we have a big storm or not, I'm sure your brother's wedding will turn out beautifully. If they planned a wedding for January, they must have considered the possibility of snow so I'm sure everything will be fine and at worst they'll have a very wintery white wedding which will make for amazing pictures.

My friend got married last year during that horrible December snow storm. It snowed almost a foot that day and only about 12 people cancelled on her. It was the best day ever and she got amazing pictures in the snow. It never ruined her or the guests spirits. It will be the best day no matter what the weather!

My cousin got married during a blizzard in 2000 and everything worked out fine. I believe its only supposed to be like 5 inches of snow or something, she had over a foot and her limos and vendors all showed up on time and everything went as planned. Im sure that everything will turn out OK.

The pictures turned out beautiful too, people ask her if it was a fake background!

Don't worry .. it'll be great!!! You can't change the weather, so don't stress about it (and yes, I know, that's totally easier said than done).

But .. with regards to weather forecasts:

The predictions for our wedding day were for perfect skies and beautiful sunshine .. well .. guess what .. I woke up to rain .. and it rained ALL DAY .. the weather was moving totally backwards that day .. it came up from the south east and moved north west .. oh well .. the day was still beautiful, though!
