Please help me figure out what to do regarding invites! Now with Pics!

So I have been having A REALLY hard time finding my invites...I have champagne taste and beer budget. With that said, my dream invite is letterpressed, on powder blue paper with grey ink. I can get this for $400 (I'm only getting 60).
Or I can get a square invite on nice blue paper that sparkles a little (Encore) with black ink thermography since they can't do any other color due to the ink. I can get this for about $300 (for 50).
The price difference is $100...what would you do? Get the invite of your dreams or get a 'nice' invite to save the money.

Please help! And LP, if you read this...this is my BM #2!

#1 is the blue letterpress ones that I love, this is the exact color of the paper and the ink, #2 is the RSVP set for it, #3 is the size, it would be 5X7 and the wording will be almost exact...reception info will be on there to save on a reception card.

#4 is the Encore invitation, it's nice and blue and the paper has a shimmer. #5 is an example of an overlay I would get to 'dress up' #4 - I would get silver rice paper and have labels made with our names like in the example.

The the invite of your dreams!! $100 is not that much in the grand scheme of things right!

BTW: I got my invitations for less than $400 for 150 So there ARE cheap ones out there.

Hey sasha, You have to look around and see if you can get the invitations of your dreams for less. You can do it girl.

Thanks Julz and Jantany. That's the thing...$400 for letterpress IS a bargain...they for for over $1000 everywhere, so that price is ridiculously low already. I have another appointment on Sunday to look at more invites...my problem is the paper, I want BLUE paper...all the nice and not so expensive ones are white or ivory. UGH!

Please keep your advice coming!

OK - here's #5 - it didn't fit before!

I say if you've shopped around and the invites of your dreams are a 'bargain' and you're considering spending $300 on invites already, I say spend the extra money and get the ones you REALLY love!

i loved your analogy- I too have the same problem with everything. If it was up to me i would go with it and get it. if it was up to fh i would have the beer and learn to like it.

I honestly believe that in the grand scheme of things, $100 extra is nothing! We are spending THOUSANDS of dollars, so a few extra hundred really won't matter. Do what makes you happy. And make sure you let us know what you decide!

I say go for it and get what you want. You dont want to second guess your descision and settle for something other than what you want...If you were talking a $500 diff then I would say go with your second choice. Make yourself happy and go for it!!!!

Invite of your dreams! If you don't you may regret it later and $100 isn't a huge amount of money!

What I would do is probably start a little invitation fund - and like roll all my coins and hand in all my cans for deposit and slowly save the $100 (I wouldn't feel so bad about spending extra then). Is that lame?
