Girls who are in the process of shopping for invites!
I wanted to pass along the terrible experience I have had with my printer. When I got my invites in, I posted pictures and I really loved the way that they came out.
Upon futher inspection, I had noticed that there were problems with the printing, words were rubbing off like FH's NAME!!, as well as there being excess glue and the papers not being aligned properly.
We sent them back to the printer/invitation company who said they'd take care of the problems claiming the font was the problem and didn;t work with our ink or paper-- so my response was why do you even offer that font then? Anyway- I sent them back the beginning of Nov, and the printer sat on them without any info for me as to what the status of my invites was until two days before Christmas.
In Nov, he asked me to send EVERYTHING back to him, so I had nothing, and I lost a month and a half. I needed to get my envelopes to my calligrapher the second week in Jan and I was worried I would have NO INVITES.
They agreed to reprint everything with a new font. We got them and at first they looked better, although I liked my original font better than the second. They changed one of the papers on me- it was three different papers and they changed the ecru to an ivory, which IMO changed the look of the invite.
Anyway- I stuffed my invites this weekend, and after looking through every single piece there were still problems. The ink rubbed off a few like in the first set, the liner was screwed up on some envelopes, and the paper alignment was off (it was 3 diff. papers stacked).
Anyway- my invites were not cheap and I was furious with how they dragged their heels and then still could not get it right.
The company is either called Natural Impressions or Distinct Impressions based on which collection the invites are from.
Just wanted to pass along my experience and be on the lookout if the invites you fall in love with come from this company.
They are disgraceful.
