My invites are here! Mini review of Jean M wedding essential invites.

Well, I get back from teaching 6 classes today to find a big box on the porch. It's our invites!!!

In the blank space I plan on tying a baby blue ribbon. Jean M didn't have this color option. My wedding colors are baby blue and silver so I will tie the blue ribbon on myself. Oh, yeah, and they wanted more than $150 just to put the ribbon on 100 invites. I don't think so.

BEWARE: If you are ordering from Jean M and deviate from any set invite. I wanted a different layout that is typically used with another invite. I sent explicit written instructions and called no less than 5 times. I also included a mock up from my computer. They still got it wrong AND CHARGED ME FOR THE EXTRA E-MAIL PROOFS EVEN THOUGH IT WASN'T MY FAULT. Of course, this caused my bill to go over a certain set amount which raised the taxes and the shipping charge as it's based on total bill So just beware of that.

Can't wait to put the ribbon on. I'll repost when that's done in a few weeks.

Sorry, I had to resize the pic.

Wow!!! With all the work you put into the mock up you would think they could get it right the first time.

Kind of like bridal shops that order an 8 and get $300+ in alterations knowing full well the brides needs a 6.

I'm convinced everything wedding related is all a scam to get every single penny out of couples.

That sucks - I have heard a few iffy reviews about their customer service.

Are they right now??

Thanks for the post. I had my eye on their invitations. I love them but I thought that they were a little over my budget. That was a good idea to do the embellishments on you own. It stinks that they messed up your order though- I hope everything got straightened out.
They're pretty invitations!

As far as price goes they are a bargain. They are very thick quality paper and a double layer. Any comparable invites I saw in stores with bows or any colored ink started at over double the price of these. The cheapest invite I saw that was even remotely comparable (colored paper/colored ink) started at over $500 for 100. The total order w/o ribbon came to $270 without proof cost and shipping, handling and tax. Total was less than $350.

I wanted a nice sturdy invite but couldn't see spending more money than that. I wanted to convet the elegance of the affiar but then again, most people just throw them out.
