I just noticed the year on the invitations is not started with a capital letter. I know its not a huge catastrophe, and Im not going to reorder the invitations, but its not perfect, and Im bummed

Re: FREAKING OUT! Noticed mistake on invitations
I was told that nothing had to be capitalized except proper names? Mine isn't in upper class.

Mine wasn't either and I don't think that it is supposed to be. From looking in books and other samples - they weren't either.

Re: FREAKING OUT! Noticed mistake on invitations
it's ok, i had mistakes on mine i just called them right away and had it redone the next day! but if you can't do that i am sure you will not get frowned on for it! and if someones does say something well they need to find better things to do with there time! good luck!

This is true and mine aren't capitalized either...it says 'two thousand and five' and actually looks beautiful all lower case.
I was also freaking out because I wrote Together with our parents, and when I got the invites the comma was missing...I almost lost it! Then I realzied that they made a 'judgement' call because a comma isn't supposed to go after (I checked every invite site I could find)...so this was a 'good' mistake because it's correct.
you are lucky I cant get your third snotty picture to post

Re: FREAKING OUT! Noticed mistake on invitations
No big deal!
My couisn sent out invites with the groom's last name spelled wrong! At first we were like 'OMG', but the wedding was beautiful, and no one remebers but us bridezillas. No one's going to even NOTICE!
Also, in some cultures, artsist put delberate inperfections in their work to show that unlike god, we are imperfect. Just tell people you're honoring an ancient eastern custom for good luck!

Re: FREAKING OUT! Noticed mistake on invitations
Just an FYI:
YOUR indicates 'possession'
Example: YOUR invitation
YOU'RE indicates 'a state of being' or perhaps 'intent'
Example: You're about to get married.
The correct word is: YOUR

I was referring to this message, in which she originally wrote 'your lucky....', which you'll notice she edited after I posted my message. In this situation, 'you're' or her change to 'you are' is correct.

Wow - and now the name changes from LMal to Mal. No one likes rude nasty posters. Doesn't matter what your name is.
