I was worried about this as well. I read a lot of posts where people put an earlier time, but I decided to put the correct time. I feel that I go crazy trying to be on time for other people's weddings and it shouldn't be so hard for others to have the same consideration. I also have some other people that will arrive there a 1/2 hour early as it is, I don't want them to be sitting there for any longer than necessary. I wouldn't worry about it.

I put the actual time and everyone was there.

No its OK I was told to put the REAL time too. Its rude to make your guest wait.

I would absolutely put the actual time. If your family is always late for things, then maybe put it 15 min early, but that would be it.

just make sure you tell as many guests as you possibly can that thats the real time. Some people expect the invitations to be a half hour early.

don't lie to your guest, i'd be upset if I arrived on time, only to find that I could have had another half an hour.

I put the actual time - for those that arrived last I got to wave and watch them all walk in from the limo. If anyone was late I didn't notice because my back was to them at the altar Many weddings start late, so for those guests that arrive earlier than the time you would have put, then are waiting on top of that, could be waiting like 45 minutes! I'd rather a few people be late than to make my guests wait and find out I lied on the invitation.
