05 3/26 GTG Recap!!!!
OK well there are going to be many a joke on the board that got started at the GTG today so I figured I'd recap the day for all the 05 brides that were with us in spirit.
I got to Uno's a bit late (1:20pm) but felt better that there were a few people running late besides me (Azad, Denise, Gail, Alex, LP, Neen, Sue and Andrea...Im looking at you!!! LOL![]()

There were three tables set up...one of which was filled with those on-time brides...![]()
Once everyone gathered it quickly got lively at Uno's. Intros and stickers quickly went around, for there were a few newbies at this GTG....We loved seeing you all there- come on back y'all here?
Once drinks came around, the talk turned to the usual suspects- wedding, family, money, and wedding....Denise passed around her table camera pics which showed us her scavenger hunt poem and list for her tables....what a great idea by the way!!!!
Azad and Kim passed around samples of their programs...So beautiful ladies!! Kim, you really should keep all those thank u's at the end....it was cute that we all thought it was what you were putting at the end!!!
Once we placed orders, we all began to chat again and then put together all our gifts for Donna's gift basket- I know I can say thank you to everyone who contributed...We all really came together at the last minute and it was a gorgeous basket. We had tons of magazines, books, lotions, spa kits, towels, plates etc etc..... Andrea bought the basket and cellophane wrap and ribbon and wrapped it all up so wonderfully! A card was passed around by Alex...two chipmunks eating a corn on the cob....inside it said 'friends till the end' or something to that effect.
When LP arrived in her cool azz sunglasses, she quickly went to work getting us all to fill out wish cards for her wish bowl. So with the basket completed, card signed, and wishes written down. Food came pretty promptly delivered by the best waiter in the world!!!!
Our waiter Chris was a hoot! Poor guy had no idea what was awaiting him when he came to work this morning! 20 something fiancees/ wives all gabbing away , talking about bachlorette parties and catering halls. We found out just how sly he was when the food arrived and he walks over with a plate and goes 'Kim? Kim? where's Kim?' The sneaky ******* had written all of our names down with our orders by looking at our name tags....actually pretty smart if you ask me. Someone (Kim- was it u?) found out his name was Chris and we've been on a first name basis ever since!
We got Chris back by writing him a name tag that so jokingly proclaimed him 'allure (bob)'!!! All in good fun...and since we 05'ers are said to start the drama anyways, we figured why not actually do it for once! Thats where the '05 for life' came in. Sue mentioned how we should use gang symbols...'05 4 life' to which I responded with my right hand circled in an 'O' and my left one with five fingers standing proudly.....Sue and Neen improved upon our Gang symbol by holding up the 0 and the 5 and adding on '4' fingers and an 'L' for life! Ladies, welcome to the gang!!!! We then proclaimed that we all needed to go home and change our avatar tags to 'O5 For Life!' Please observe to the left!
Chaos ensued when it was time for the group shot...it started out innocently enough, in the corner but when we went outside to take the pic on the patio, well lets say we got a little x-rated! Especially Chris/Allure/Bob!!!! What a naughty little waiter! there was talking about packages, big packages, the digital cameras elongating....oh lordy !
Well my fingers are tired and if I've left anything out its because we never Speed Dating Circulated like we said we would and therefore I didn't sit with everyone or I'm suffering a mild case of amnesia from hitting my head on those lights 5! Times!!!!!
