not really. She confirmed what I have suspecting since we got engaged - 3 1/2 months ago. Once the hall was booked, she stopped being interested.

I told my FH what she said and he couldn’t believe it either. I’m ready to write her a check for the money she’s given us so far. I don’t need it.

I also told my FH “now do you understand why I love LIW?”

I'm still so shocked and upset that she would say that! I could understand if this were not my first wedding, but it is my 1st (and last!)

All my mom keeps telling me is how when my sister in CA got married 5 yrs ago, all the wedding updates where posted to her website and how she wasn’t involved at all.

I guess that’s my mom's expectation for my wedding as well, even though we both live on LI.
