There isnt a medical thread so I will ask on here- Anyone know about or have IBS?

Irritable Bowel Syndrome? Do you have any tips on diet or meds or your experience with it? I have it, not on any meds- anymore- but for some reason I cant seem to get a hold on it. I will have good days and sudden bad days, I feel like stress brings it on and who isnt stressed? So I am asking for advice or any strategies. I have read soo much literature about it but its all the same mumbo jumbo. thanks

I can NOT believe I missed these previous threads. Thanks SO much for re-posting them. I've been dealing with this for years too. Been to the hospital 3x before they decided that was the problem. VERY FRUSTRATING that there is no real 'cure' It flairs up at the WORST times (i.e. stress). I am PRAYING this does not happen around the wedding. Ugh. What a pain in the *ss. I seriously feel like I have geriatric health problems and I'm only turning 30. (Lovely to take fiber on a daily basis like I'm 80) I could go on and on about this. So nice to read other people's posts....

I didnt get to read the threads that were posted about this.......but I do know that my friend who has IBS takes Flax Seed Oil and it works quite well for her..........

I have IBS and spasmatic bowel too. I am on meds prescriped by my Dr and he put me on a low residue diet.

I responded to one of the previous threads, but I have it and I am Zelnorm, which for me works wonders.
