Photographer Recommendations?

Original post by annaanddom

I am looking for a photo package under 3000. Can anyone recommend a photographer in that price range? I'm leaning towards a photojournalistic approach. Thanks!

i also booked with duet. my package included many upgrades, extra pictures, and the video. i know that they will work with u on the price. also, there is no charge when making the ablum for special effects. u also get the cd library at the end which is definitely worth it.

My photographer is PHOTOJOURNALISTIC and doesn't charge extra for it.

Her package (general) is $1500 - her portfolio is online - and amazing.

This one is on my top list to visit, Although I'm like 70% sure I'm going with Angelica Glass but it's worth to check.

Rebecca B--
Could you tell me how Marco's prices are in comparsion to the others if you looked around? Also, are their different packages?

Re: Photographer Recommendations?

The cost for Marco was about $4300 and that includes a 'Bronze Package'... and video...I believe the video alone was about $1700...they are willing to work with you and I think you get a lot for your money...in my opinion they are traditional photographers and also somewhat photojournalistic...I think it's important to have both styles...With our picture package we get free engagement shots that include one 8X10 and all proofs, 10 5X7 for bridal party, 36 8X10 pics for our album, 2 parent albums...I think they are 20 5X7's...all proofs, um...1 mini album (purse size), 75 thank you's...I know I am forgetting something...!!oh yeah and 1 11X14...I recommend giving them a call... Good luck.

this is the vendor i am having the most confusion over... i am stuck between duet, patken, christine bohn, leli. i want a lot of proofs and i hear that duet offers a lot, does anyone know about these others and how many proofs you get?? i dont want to spend too much either i am trying to keep my photography under 4k.

Re: Photographer Recommendations?

I have heard not so good things about Leli...I have no info on the others...while at Marco I ran into a girl who was getting married in August of this year and apparently Leli was causing her some unnecessary stress and she was looking for a new photographer and willing to loose her $700 deposit. ...and yes Marco does had a web site...if you look under vendors and then photographers you will find Marco Studios here on LI Weddings...

I would check reviews and do a search on this board before booking ANY vendor. We did, and we're using Christina Bohn. She comes in under $3,000 and we were both stunned with her work. Besides, better to do the research before you put down non refundable deposits.

have you gone to visit all these photogs yet?? That is what helped me make my decisions... i was tossed between Duet and Leli... I went with Leli for a few reasons... I felt that his photos really told a story and captured the moment and that is what i was looking for, his price was great, he is really close to where I live and I honestly don't think FH would have had much patience with the language differences. So far we had our e-pics done and FH dealt with Gary really well and vice versa. FH isnt so fond of getting his picture taken so I know that Gary was laid back enough to work well with FH... hope that helps!
