im also slowly working on invites...

I guess I'm only maybe halfway through or 1/3 of the way through with planning??!!

Dress - Deposit placed last month, will be coming in around New Years. But now I have to go on Sunday because there may be a problem with the hollow to hem crap.....

Tiara, Veil - Tri-County, all for $150 total

Hall - Jericho Terrace

Hair - Jenn The Hair Genie - enough said

Makeup - Oksana, again enough said

Officiant - Rev. Deb Viola courtesy of this website

Hotel - Wingate Inn, Garden City, but have a reserveration at the Smithtown Sheraton as a backup right now

Invites - Doing myself courtesy of Michael's kits for $75!!

Shoes, Unity Candle Holder, Yankees Garter - EBAY, baby!!!

Undergarments - Macy's but not crazy about it

Jewelry - 35th and 6th in Manhattan at this small Korean shop - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! You can find the same type of jewelry as the bridal salons for a LOT less!! They also carry hair pins, tiaras, veils, BM jewelry, etc for dirt cheap but looks like you spent a lot more!!!

I think that's all I have done right now.

We're looking into DJ's and Limos right now.
Going BM shopping this Sunday for yellow dresses.
Not even thinking about a florist until after the BM dress is selected.
HM we're still debating on. FH doesn't want any long flights.
Favors I have no idea yet. I have a white, silver and yellow theme going and it's spring. So there are some options.

Any ideas on placecards?? Maybe flower shaped placecards??

We still have a lot left to do!! The next few deposits are now up to me since FH left the last 3!!

ETA some more crap I forgot about

OK, I robbed CTarantino's list and tailored it. By the way, great board. . . this is fun and a great way to make me realize what i still have to do.

and too many other things.. gosh i should get going on this...

Yay!! Got one more thing off the list....booked our DJ!!!

Now onto limos, and I may have narrowed the BM dresses choice. I'm going tomorrow with my MOH and my Jr. BM to take a look. One of my BM's has been put on bedrest. After the BM dresses are picked, I can move on to a florist.

Now I gotta tackle the location for the photos. Having a hard time finding a place that will charge less than $150.

Anyone else still feel like they're way behind all the other brides who are getting married after us and yet have everything done??

it's about time we made our own thread.

for me, I have the following done..

church
hall
photographer
pre-cana
florist
meeting with my dress maker in about 3 weeks
bm dresses are designed and are being drawn and patterned

working on
invites
favors
guest list
cake
gifts for BP

still have
so much left to do

I sat down and went through past bride reviews and bios on theknot.com, and realized that there are so many things to do, that i didn't even think of....heavily so w/arts & crafts, such as the placecard votives, slipper baskets, bathroom baskets, kids table activities, list after lists, etc....it never ends!

I'm sure we'll help each other out and work through it all together!

I know- every time I read about one of these things..I am totally clueless..I am not very crafty- I don't know what to do

like really- what the hell is a cry pack? and further, how are they made!?

I have a post on that: yes, here it is! I literally just sit here and absorb, absorb, absorb...I had no idea what an STD was until I came on here, nor a rose petal cone, nor an OOT box, etc...I'd be clueless w/out you guys! In a way though, it's so BAD - more things to make the more ideas I fall in love with!

Martha Stewart's Cry Pack

What a great idea to start this thread!!!

OMG! I have soooooooooo much to do!!!!
I thought I was doing pretty good until i saw how much you girls have done!!!
This is all I've done so far...

Reception Hall: Milleridge Cottage
DJ: Energy Entertainment Group
Photo/Video: Silverfox
Dress: Ordered from Lillette's last week
BM Dresses: Picked out last week

THAT'S ALL I'VE DONE!!!! You have me nervous now!!!!

Woo Hoo!! I blocked the hotel rooms for guests, so one more thing off the list.

. . . although on another board someone mentioned something re: possibly needing placecards for Eastwind, which I was not expecting since when we booked we were told it wasn't necessary. So, I might be adding to my list
