You brides are so lucky! Congrats! Helpful Links inside!
These are some links that helped me when planning my HM:
Theknot.com's Honey Moon Bio
Theknot.com's Honeymoon Board
TripAdvisor.com for awesome unbiased reviews!
Different fare/planning sites:
www.applevacations.com
www.beachbumvacation.com - my TA Hayley owns this company and they rock!
http://www.discount-all-inclusive.com/Default.aspx
www.expedia.com
www.libertytravel.com
www.luxurylink.com
www.orbitz.com
www.skyauction.com
All-Inclusive info:
DH and I wanted beautiful and All-Inclusive without having to compromise service. We went to Royal Hideaway and I can't say enough great things about it. More info on my review!
Royal Hideaway in Playa del Carmen, Mexico is All-Inclusive and 5*. It's one of only a handful of All-Inclusive Leading Hotels of the World
Elite Island Resorts has amazing All-Inclusive information on their site for Antigua (a co-worker went to Galley Bay and loved it; Jumby Bay is also supposed to rock), St. Kitts, St. Lucia, The Grenadines, Tortola
Peter Island in the BVI consistently gets raves as a great All-Inclusive
Secrets Excellence Riviera Cancun is also supposed to be luxurious and it's more affordable than Royal Hideaway.
Thanks to halfpintny, you can search worlwide for AI at Master List of All-Inclusives
Mexico, specifically Riviera Maya info:
The Riviera Maya (also known as the Yucatan Peninsula) is the 'towns' that the Mayans lived in around the beach...hence the term 'Riviera' they are:
Cancun
Playa del Carmen
Akumal
Cozumel
Tulum
and others...see map below...the difference is that some parts face the Caribean Sea (Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Cozumel) and others have lagoons or face the Gulf
Here's a link if you guys want to learn more about it, I just don't want anyone being mis-informed and making decisions based on non-facts. Have a great trip!
