My guy was so sweet. He waited till we went on vacation to cancun. We had a few more days left and he planned a day of fun. We went snokeling most of the day and shopping then he took me to my favorite restaurant there called La Dolce Vita (the sweet life, this was our 3rd time to mexico) Then he took me on a moonlight walk. We talked for a little bit and then all of a sudden he got down on one knee on the beach. For me it was the perfect proposal since the beach is my favorite place to be. What really made me cry is that he said since my grandma had her ashes spread in the ocean he wanted to do it here cause it was like she was watching us. I thought that was the sweetest thing since she was my favorite and I wish he could have met her.

We have a whole thread on this somewhere, but it's always a goodie. Your proposal sounds so perfect and romantic. My proposal story is long (and posted like 12 other times), but all my life I wanted to go to Disney World. I just love Disney, and it was a lifelong dream. Fh finally took me there and it was the best time of my life. Then I just knew he was the one A year later he took me back and proposed in front of Cinderella's castle right before the fireworks! It was my perfect proposal!

My FH proposed to me on his birthday so I wouldn't think anything of it. I was totally suprised. Considering we had been together for 7 years already. He hid my engagement ring in a remote control b/c I always break them and he knew I thought he would get mad at me, but infact he planned it that way He also videotaped the whole proposal!!!!! I love him so much!!

In bed when we woke up. He placed the ring on my finger when I was still half asleep. He said he wanted to do it in the place where were were most comfortable and had the most fun.

It was our 6 year anniversay on dec 14th but it fell on a wednesday. So, it was decided that we would celebrate on Saturday the 17th. Mike made dinner reservations at 10:00 and told me that he had something planned before dinner. He picked me up at 6:15 and told be we were going to the Vanderbilt Museum to see a show at the planetarium. We have been there before and I was excited because the planetarium is amazing. We got there and had the whole place to ourselves. Little did I know, he had rented it out.
So, there we were - sitting in the planetarium all by ourselves. The sky started to turn dark (as if the sun was setting) and little by little each star was appearing. It was absolutely gorgeous. I felt as if we were lying outside starring up at the sky. Then, 'our' song came on, Only Time from Enya and I thought how adorable. Mike had brought in a CD that he made of 3 songs but at the time I didn't even realize it. I just thought that it was a coincidence.
All of a sudden I saw words starting to appear in the stars and when I saw my name I was shocked, it read, 'Justine, to me you are perfect. I love you so much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.' I started to cry of course and still thought, for a second, that that was it. Then, I looked up again and it said 'Will you marry me?' I have never been so surprised with anything in my entire life. Obviously, I said YES!
We called all of our friends and family to share the news. Most of them knew because Mike had been planning this for a year! We made a few special stops, our friends are truly wonderful! Lastly, we went to dinner at Nick D'Angelos. When we got to our table there was a large white candle on it and roses waiting for me. 3 pink and 3 red (one for each year we have been together) and a card. The whole night is something I will never forget.

Wow everyone's stories sound so sweet!
One day when I came home from work, As I opened my apartment door, there was a sign hanging from the ceiling, directing me to follow 'the line of love'.
He had a clothes line running throughout my apt, and in chronolgical order, he hung all this memorabelia that he save pretty much since we started dating (movie tics, plane tics pics from every vacation, napkins, receipts, etc.). He also had a trail of rose petals following the line and candles. All of this lead into my bedroom where he was waiting on one knee to propose.

Mine proposed at Target Rock in Lloyd harbor - it was where we 1st went when we were hanging out as friends and realized we were more than friends - it was so unexpected when he proposed - we went hiking, I was in a hoody, unshowered, nose running - I realized if he was proposing to me looking like this, it was true love!!!
BTW - my e-pics are aken at target rock as well!!!
