I'm working on table names and I have a cute idea, I'm just not sure how to execute it.
I'm from NY, FH is from Boston. We met in Boston during college and we moved to NY to live.
We wanted to do street names for table name. Ex: Broadway, Canal St., Lexington for NY Ex: Commonwealth Ave., Boyleston, Tremont for Boston.
How do we display this? At first I was thinking mini street signs, but I don't want to take away from my centerpiece or make my tables look too crowded. Below is my center piece, I'm also doing votive placecards, so they will be on the table too. I'll have a disposable camera on each table too.
Any creative ideas how to display the table names? I was thinking maybe a black and white photo of each city skylines then printing the name over the photo???
eta...the only thing cuter would be if you could take pics of the actual signs!

We were thinking about taking a picture of us with the signs, but it's going to be too hard to coordinate. Plus I was wondering if you would be able to read the street sign if we were in the pix.
Maybe just a B & W of the actual street sign alone would work best....great idea thanks!

I definitely agree- a pic of the actual street sign would be great! And I'm sure you have plenty of people to hunt out those pics for you! Very cute idea, by the way- and it makesme think of this pic I took of Haight and Ashbury, in San Francisco.

Just an example of pics online I found for Canal St.
I think the pictures of your and your HF at the street signs are very appreciative for your guests to see. It should not crowd the table too much of you have them in nice frames. Besides, don't the #'s/names get taken away once everyone is seated anyway?
