I WOULD NOT ORDER FROM HERE! They are a company in Mexico and IMO think it's false advertising!! I ordered from them because the toppers on their site are sooo good. I sent them 10 pictures (5 of each cat) and a detailed description of my cats. They said how pretty my cats were and how they could do the topper. Their website says they would not be exact replicas (they never say that in an e-mail or on the order form), which is FINE, but these are SLOPPY and SMEARED, and look NOTHING like the NICE quality work they advertise. They delayed shipping twice and never e-mailed me to tell me it was delayed - I had to keep e-mailing to say 'What's going on' and they would e-mail me back after 3 or 4 e-mails and say “something came up, 2 more weeks...” that happened TWICE. When my topper finally arrived it was a piece of JUNK. I e-mailed them over 20 times about it and they NEVER replied and they have NO phone # and they're in Cancun Mexico so it's not like you can do much. I had to REORDER A NEW ONE FROM ANOTHER COMPANY and pay a rush fee!! I rarely post a negative because there are 2 sides to every story, but since I e-mailed them over TWENTY times and they IGNORED me, they obviously don't have a side to the story!! I TOLD them in SEVERAL e-mails if they didn't respond I would post their work and my negative experience on EVERY bridal board I could find, and clearly they don't care because they still ignored me! I asked them to do one of my cats - This was what they sent me - it looks like a 2 year old did it!! pictures do not do justice to how BAD these are - the bottoms have TIN FOIL sticking out and you can see the persons FINGERPRINT IMPRESSIONS all over the clay, the paints all smeared... I could go on!!
These are ones they advertise on their site - HOW does mine compare in ANY way to these?? (from their website)

I usually love 'local artwork'... but I would have to agree on the worksmanship here.
Especially after what they advertise....

Okay... I was kind of laughing, too. not at your experience, but at those CATS!
Did you order by credit card??? I would call them to fight the charges. Maybe they can get your money back for you?
eta: I am currently printing a picture of those cats to hang over my desk to look at when I need a really good laugh. I'm sorry, but how did you not drop them LAUGHING so hard when you opened them?!?!!? I'm SO happy you got the other ones! They're ADORABLE!!

So sorry you had to deal with awful vendors, Kara! The 2nd set of cats you had made look much better and much better quality as well!
I agree with the one poster - if you paid by credit, put a stop charge on the credit and explain to the credit company what happened! Then your vendor won't get paid and they'll be forced to contact you.

DEFINITELY!!! Especially that they're not returning your calls! VERY FISHY!
The credit card company should know that they shouldn't allow the company to use their charge card to take orders for the future, and they should fight to get your money back. It's bad business. Mexico or not, they should return your calls, not take your money and run.

Re: Bad Vendor Experience - www.clayfigurines.com
OMG LMAO!!!!
I'm so sorry-- I don't mean to laugh at your experience but Sprite almost just came out of my nose!!! LOL those cats are SO bad... I literally could have done a better job myself (I am really into art and have a lot of experience in painting and pottery)... infact, my nephew (who is FOUR) could have painted those spots on better! OMG that's just terrible-- I'm so sorry you had to deal with that.. you should get every penny of your money back. DEFINITELY dispute that charge with your credit card and is there any way to refund them? Saying that the quality was so poor you could not use them-- ship them back and dispute the charge b/c you can say that you are not keeping them.
I think they feel like they can do whatever they want b/c they are in Mexico-- so that has people over a barrell... and no phone number! UGH!
Well, I'm really happy you were able to get good replacements-- they came out adorable!

That's easier to disput if you can show you have emails to show you contacted them with no response.

Re: Bad Vendor Experience - www.clayfigurines.com
I had the same horrible experience. DO NOT ORDER from clayfigurines.com The company is the biggest scam and will send you a figurine that a 10 year old could make. It arrived broken and with finger prints all over it. It is not worth the couple hundred dollars I paid, I should have just made it myself. I've done everything possible to get my money back, fought with clayfigurines.com, paypal, fedex and my credit card company.
