went on my first florist appt yesterday!!
Myself and FMIL went yesterday to meet with the PWP/Fox Hollow Florist, Richard.
I just want to say that he was the most friendly, personable vendor I have EVER met. He was very light and made us feel really at ease and comfortable (I overlooked the fact that he was late because he was so nice). I showed him a photo of a bouquet that I wanted and told him to build my flowers around it.....So he sat down and in like 10 minutes he thought up some beautiful ideas for my BM's and for the centerpieces too. He gave me a GREAT quote as well, came in right under budget!!
My Bo-k will be made mostly of Purple Iris, Purple Tulips and Purple Listanthus (had to google that one!) and we're also going to put some peacock feathers in there (FH and I are bird people...we have 14, not peacocks lol).
Since my girls are wearing black he thought it would be nice to go with lighter flowers, mainly Blue Iris (SO PRETTY), Lavender Tulips and Lavender Lisanthus.
For the low, oblong centerpieces he suggested all of the above flowers plus, blue hydranga (sp?), Wax Flower (small pink ones), delphinium and vandella roses (ivory). Oh, and candles.
As soon as I got home I googled all the flowers and was sooooo exited about the things he suggested...put together I think they will look beautiful.
I have a few other appointments (Flower Michelle, National Wholesale Florists and Burtons) for pricing purposes but I really liked this guy as a person (definetly no reason to hire someone for flowers, i know). I was just super exited because FH and I recently changed what we wanted to do as far as flowers went and I'm so exited that whoever we book with it'll be SO much better and more beautiful then what we had originally planned on doing!!!
Anyway...just wanted to let you guys know that Richard is super great.... and I strongly reccomend seeing him if you are a Scotto Bride.
