I was curious about wedding favors. Someone suggested doing christmas ornaments, but for an end of october wedding is that too far away from christmas to do that? I think it's a cute idea though!

we are in nov. and actually doing personalized CDs and a donation table. my mom and i are making the CDs and we are donating on the guests behalf.

I was actually thinking of doing that as well... But mine is right before thanksgiving so I dont think its too far away.... I dont think october is either.. maybe you could do ornaments in your colors and paint your names and wedding dat on them.. at least youll know its a favor that will get use!!!

LOL I was going to do that as well... I have already started designing my CD labels... I was going to use the songs that have the significance for our wedding and attach the donation to it...

Hey fellow October bride!
We actually have considered ornaments just because we collect ornaments from places and significant events that we thought it would be cute to incorporate one of our traditions into the wedding. I have been searching for some leaf ornaments so we will see...
other than that I have no idea what we are doing yet.....
I thought of the maple syrup idea too. I want something on the cheaper side if possible. I just don't know, I mean I have time I'm just trying to think of things! It's so hard!

IMHO, I do think late October is too far away from Christmas for ornaments as a favor...just me though...

they have placecard holders that are leaf shaped and broze color...u could do those and people can use them to hold pictures or business cards....they also have leaf bottle stoppers........

very nice!!! we are going to burn songs from the evening, i.e our first dance, wedding song, etc. we aren't making labels we are lightscribing the CD with either a picture of us or our monogram

My mom wanted to do that for our wedding (she's very crafty)....she made samples of these really cute heart glass ornaments with our names and wedding date, but I told her June is MUCH too far from christmas to do ornaments! I think they're going to use it as the Shower favor instead hehe.....but I think you could do it in Oct!

I like the christmas ornament idea as a favor alot, but I do think late october is a bit early for that. I would think post thanksgiving is good for them.
There are a lot of cute fall themed favors out there. What about fall leaves coasters?

What about Christmas ornaments shaped like leaves (for fall) with your name and date on them?
I think if you want to do ornaments, you should go for it. Who cares about the time of year, its close enough I think.
We are probably going to do wine bottles or something. . .haven't put too much thought into it yet!

I toggled with the idea of a mini-bottle of wine and some dark chocolates that could perhaps compliment eachother, but who knows. We'll prob just do the wine though, like I said above.
