Can any Brides help??

Ok...I was hoping that some of you could help me out. As I am sure you read in my previous post about knot just yet the bachelorette party company they are refusing to give me back my promised deposit of $890. This is a lot of money to me right now and I am out of it b/c I chose to front the money instead of having my bridesmaids do it. I am happy about this decision because I would've felt awful if they were out that much money. Here is where you come in. Someone FM'd me with this idea and I think it's good. I was hoping people could call their answering service number. (they don't advertise a real number b/c they won't get back to anyone) and tell them that they were going to book but they heard what was done to 'Jen' in New York and don't feel that the companies business practices are good. 443-451-9068 or on their website at www.knotjustyet.com

Basically I am very angry with them and am doing anything I can to show them I mean business. I am going to have my BM's call but I think the more people that do it the more of a hint they will get. They can't do this to people and it's not right to do to a bride who is trying to enjoy this time in her life! If you are going to get in business with brides that you have to be more accomodating!
Any help is appreciated.

Hi - I know I read your posts, but I do not remember - did you ever get a contract or sign any agreement with the company ?

I am sure we have some talented legal ladies on this board... Any advice for our bride to be ??

Question did you pay cash or credit?

I hope you say credit.

If so, I would call and dispute it with your credit card company! You paid for a service you never got! They will look into it and contact the company themself!

Nope no signed contract (i am an idiot really) but they claim its on their website....but I don't care i didn't sign or agree to any terms....AND the bottom line is that they were the ones to OFFER me my money back. I didn't ask for it.....they made the offer and I accepted. If they weren't going to give me my money then they shouldn't have offered. Or they should've returned one of my millions of phone calls or e mails and told me about it so i could make a decision about whether it was worth losing the money.

Sorry but I don't now the whole story.. did they offer to give you your money back in writing? If by phone, do you have the person's name?

It's ok...unfortunatley nothing was gotten in writing. They would never return calls or e mails. I did get verbal confirmation from 2 of the employees..1 being the head of the company Eddie and the other being Michelle. They offered it to me. So i took it. They said I would get the full amount back. I even offered for them to take off any mailing fees it would cost them to quickly send me the check...they never responded.

That's horrible that they're doing this to you. I would call them non-stop, harass them until they sent you your deposit back. In the meantime you should definitely report them to the Better Business Bureau. Good luck

Thanks! I have been trying to call them non stop for 3 weeks now and sending tons of e mails....no return calls or e mails. Finally yesterday they were like 'just take us to court then' so unfortunatley it's what I have to do....just a big pain in the butt and a bad time to be out almost $1000....So I did contact the BBB and anything else I could to be a pain. maybe they'll get the message
