some fun DIY things =) with pictures!
Hi ladies!
So I am an 08er crashing, but I wanted to share some DIY things from my wedding that I didn't include in my review. I miss wedding planning so much - i hope you all enjoy every minute of it!!!
My wedding was in August at the Bourne Mansion...
FANS
Since it was super hot in the church - because the church didn't have air conditioning (like most churches) we bought fans for less than a dollar each and then attached little tags that we had made (from myweddinglabels.com). They came out super cute and everyone in the chuch was using them!
PROGRAMS
These were a DIY because we had the covers printed to match our invitation style and then printed the insides ourselves and added the ribbons.
FLIP FLOP BASKET
This was such a great idea to do - everyone had them on by the end of the night! We got 100 colored flip flops from a dollar store website and then tied them together with ribbon put them in a basket and made a little sign with a poem on it (that I found on LIW) it came out really cute
SIG. COCKTAIL SIGN
My husband and I met in Miami so our sig. cocktail was a mojito. We made a cute sign and then laminated them and put them on stands on the bars.
MATCHES & NAPKIS
We had matches and napkins made with our monogram on them - this was mainly for the cocktail hour - and for the cigars that we had at Vhour. They were a fun addition - and they were all gone by the end of the party! The tube matches were my favorite - and we searched for the cheapest ones - i think we found them for a dollar a piece
CIGARS
So i commented on another thread about this - but we wanted a cigar roller but we found them to be too expensive - so we decided to go to the store and just buy 200 dollars worth of cigars and have them displayed for some fun containers and humidifiers - it was much cheaper and cool because we picked out my dads favorite cigars. They were displayed during the Vhour.
SIGN IN BOOK
Since the mansion has a very Gone with the wind feeling - we rented an old type writer and had people type their messages on index cards which we then put into a photo album. We also had a feather pen that people could write with as well. It gave the wedding a very old time feeling.
Here is a link to my full review too - I used tons of LIW vendors - hope this helps you guys - have a blast and enjoy every minute of the process!!!
