H&S Bridal-Bridal building (LONG)
On thursday I went for my first scheduled dress fitting with this shop and was disappointed with the outcome and my fiance has been bugging me to post about it as he was extremely upset with my experience. When I got to the shop they didn't know who I was or that I had an appointment. I had actually called just the day before to change the time so they should have. Then she asks me what my order number was and dress style number. This is probably my fault but I did not have this information as I stupidly assumed they would already have this since they called me and told me the dress was in. The woman pulls out a stack of contracts and receipts and asked me the day I was there to order and then my name and starts thumbing through the pile. Eventually I spot my own name and direct her to the order. She went into the back to find the dress and tells me she cant find it after ten minutes. I insist she called me and told me to come in and she goes back. After another twenty minutes the dress is found and tells me that it is my fault because I told her the wrong color....I had asked for the dress in Diamond White but the dress was ordered in White. She shows me the contract and points to where theres a W (to me it does look like a sloppy DW) and says 'no no you said white.' Not going to argue. I shouldnt have allowed her to write in short-hand. Finally we get me into the dress and she starts saying how it is way too big and I must have lost weight since the fitting. While I wish this was the case it most certainly is not. This wouldnt be such a problem if I let them do the alterations since they are capped at $150 but I cant feasibly do this living in Syracuse. I am wondering if she didnt give me someone elses dress but theres nothing I can do to prove it/change that. If anyone has/will used this store I would make sure you can read and clarify everything on the contract and see the size chart yourself. The prices cant be beat but the service left me shaken.
