LIWeddings.com would like to congratulate Allison and Steven on their engagement and upcoming wedding. Steven, a police officer and romantic at heart, asked Ali to be his bride by putting her in the spotlight on the day of his graduation. It was the night of his police academy graduation party. A few of the guys were making speeches (to say thanks to the instructors or to tell stories of what occurred during training) and my fiance gets up there. He said... 'on behalf of all of the gentlemen here, we'd like to thank our wives, girlfriends, and significant others for helping us through the academy and for supporting us. In particular, i'd like to thank my girlfriend Ali. Ali can you come out here please (in the middle of the dance floor)? I loved being able to come home to you every day and i hope to be able to do that forever. Ali will you marry me (as he got down on one knee and his brother in law handed him the ring)?' His brother in law (his sisters husband) was in the academy with him as well. They were both there that night. And of course i said yes! Steven is the son of Roseanna and Steve Sheades of East Hampton. Allison an accounting professional is the daughter of Carol Brady of Montauk. An October 2006 celebration at Gurneys Inn is planned.
