Congratulations, best wishes, and welcome to Renee Weitman and Rodrigo Gonzalez and their respective families: Pamela and Gregory Weitan; and Mildred Cruz-Fidman and Waldemar Gonzalez. The happy couple, a professional in Receivables and a Sales professional, both from Flushing were engaged on May 5, 2007 'It was great evening out, the night before our actual 2 year anniversary of dating on May 6, 2007. Little did I (Renee) know that Rigo had planned to propose to me the next afternoon at Two Boots Pizza where we had had our first date. After coming home from our great dinner and dessert we were lying in bed talking about the evening, and I was expressing my feelings and happiness to Rigo about our last two years together, and telling him how I couldn't imagine him not in my life. He then got out of bed and went to his top dresser drawer and came back into bed and said to me, I want you to know that I have no inention of ever being without you by my side and presented me with the box and opened it up to reveal the most beautiful engagement ring I have ever seen. I started sobbing immediately and it took about 5 minutes before I could finally squeak out a yes to Rigo's relief. It was pure magic! Then at 11:00 at night I started calling my family, who luckily are three hours behind us in time, only to find out that they all already knew. Rigo had asked for their blessing on our last trip to Arizona a couple of months prior. I can not express how much that meant to me and how much more special it made this whole event.' They look forward to a May 2008 celebration at the Riviera in Massapequa. We wish them all the best.
