We would like to welcome to our online familiy Janice Santiago and Edward Aviles and their families: Edita And Angel Santiago; and Iris and Juan Aviles. The happy couple, a Financial Analyst from Hempstead and an Enviromental Cop from The Bronx, were engaged on August 29, 2008 at Mama Maria's Restauratnt. 'On August 29th, my fiancee and I had planned to eat out with our friends, Evelyn and Edwin, who were responsible in introducing us. Under normal circumstances, I would have been Ms. Detective and figured out something was up. Eddie wanted to have dinner the night before we were leaving to go to Vegas. So my mind was on packing and other things. He wanted for us to eat at Mama Maria's Restaurant in the Bronx. This is the place where Evelyn and Eddie first introduced me to Eddie. Eddie was running late, which was another red flag I seemed to have missed. So Evelyn, Edwin, their son Edwin and I sat done at the same table where it all began. We all laughed that about the coincidence. After ordering appetizers, Eddie walked through the door. We had a wonderful dinner. I was stuffed, but Evelyn suggested we split a tartufo dessert. When the dessert came out, I saw something strange. I saw these two beautiful rings sitting in the ice cream. I was in total shock. Eddie non-chalantly asked me if I wanted to be with him forever. I was like what? LOL LOL Evelyn told him he had to get on one knee and ask me, so he did and I said yes. Evelyn started to cry, then I got teary eyed. But I spent the rest of the night in shock. I had so much on my mind that I couldn't believe Eddie had asked me. We went to Vegas and had a awesome trip. They look forward to an October 1, 2009 celebrtaion. We wish them all the best.
