Long Island Engagement Announcements

Brendan took me up to Boston for the weekend and surprised me in with a walk around the beautiful Boston Public Gardens. All day I was so impressed with how great the city was (it was my first time!) and how gorgeous the weather was, I kept saying 'wow today is so perfect!' Little did I know... When we reached the famous ducklings statues from the famous book Make Way For Ducklings (which used to be one of my favorites when I taught pre-school), he pointed out that there was a card with my name propped up against one of the ducklings, along with the book and a little stuffed duckling. I went over and picked up the card and it said, open to page one. I opened the book and it said 'Will You Marry Me?' He was down on his knee and I was bawling! 100% completely shocked!!! All the people there already knew and were standing around us applauding. There was one little baby that sat on the little duckling right next to us the entire time and after I said yes, he leaned down and gave her a little baby high 5! Plus he had both his sisters set it up before hand and were hiding taking pictures of the whole thing! GREAT because it was such a blur while it was going on! Congratulations and best wishes to Stacy Lyman and Brendan Mooney. The happy couple, engaged on October 12, 2008 look forward to a January 16, 20101 celebration. We wish them much continued love and happiness.
