Long Island Engagement Announcements

Welcome aboard and best wishes to Lauren Nicholson and Todd Neckin and their respective families: Robert and Gldys Nicholson; and Howard and Caroline Neckin. The two: A Long Island Teacher from Ronkonkoma, and a FDNY Firefighter in Manhattan, from Staten Island were engaged on March 21, 2009 at Francisico's Centro Vasco in New York City. 'We were at dinner and he recognized a Magician at the restaurant bar who he 'claimed' had a reality tv show. I walk out of the bathroom and he is waiting at the bar talking to the Magician. He asked if we minded being on his Reality Show and do some tricks for us. He did a dice trick and then asked if we had time for one more. The second trick was a card trick. I picked a card then he made me cut the deck and write my name and my fiance's name on the back of the card. I flipped it over and it said 'will you marry me?' They look forward to an August 6, 2010 celebration. We wish them all the very best.
