Congratulations and best wishes to Amanda Yardley and Jonathan Sexton and to their families: Heidi; and Ray and Karen. The happy couple: an Accountant, and a Banker, both from Coram, was engaged on December 24, 2008 at home. 'Jonathan and Amanda woke up on Christmas Eve, and Jonathan begged for Amanda to open just one her presents. With their pajamas still on, her hair a mess, glasses on and still sleepy, Amanda opened the one gift Jonathan wanted her to open. Inside was a small silver heart trinket box, with little pink diamonds on the top, to which Amanda opened to find a personalized note inside saying, 'I will love you always.' The ring inside had been floating around loose, so Amanda thought at first that the ring was a type of 'I love you' ring, and said, 'Oh, wow, thanks. It's so pretty.' Jonathan, frustrated, replied, 'No, silly...,' grabbed her hand, and asked, 'Will you marry me?' Amanda started to realize that this wasn't just an 'I Love You' ring and asked, 'Are you serious?!? Are you freakin' serious?!?!?!' She then replied with a 'Yes' and the newly engaged couple laid in bed for a while longer with their stomachs growling and the kitties outside the door scratching and meowing while they discussed their new future together. ' They look forward to a November 11, 2011 celebration. We wish them all the very best.
